Business card design inspiration

-Think above and beyond the design of the normal card.
Think about what makes you pick up a card? Good photography? Nice wording? Handmade details? cool graphics?
If your handing them out at a craft fair etc, you want the potential customer to keep hold off it and not forget about it.

- Does it have to be the normal buisness card Shape? maybe it could be a cut out of what you make. e.g I make bags so it could be a tote shape.

- Think creatively about the type of paper you use and how the info is printed.

- Does it reflet your brand? Does it have all the relevent information on it.

-Is your name bold enough to be easily identified.

- Use both sides of the cards, or you could make it into a mini booklet. Add features, maybe a calender, recipe etc on the back, so it will come in useful.

- how is it delivered to the person? I have in the past put mine into mini envelopes, or wrapped them up in ribbon.

-maybe think about making it look seasonal. With Valentines day and easter approaching it could make a nice decorative feature in someones house. I have a contact who sends out really pretty Chirstmas cards to past customers with there company name on the front so it stands out.

- Keep a scrap book of ideas you find so you can keep updating your card.
May be have a range of cards to hand out at different times. Maybe a cute thank you card to send out with purchases, a more simple design for just handing out in the streets, and a more creative range to hand out to your target market.
